Some makeup products can be used in a variety of ways. I bet you haven’t heard of some of the ideas I’m going to share. If you feel like using your makeup products in a completely different way, check how to get round to it.

1. Lipstick = Blush or Eyeshadow

Have you run out of your blusher or eyeshadow? No worries! Use a lipstick instead. Firstly, apply a bit of the product to the fingers and then to the skin. Never apply the lipstick directly to the cheeks or eyelids to avoid too bald and unnatural effect. In this type of makeup, make use of long-wear and delicately-pigmented products. Both matte-finish and glittery products will work. Too bad, you won’t use the same trick with a lip gloss – it would make your eyelids and cheeks sticky.

2. How to make use of eyeshadow?

Your eyeshadow may work like an eyebrow pencil, blusher, bronzer or highlighter. When it comes to the brow pencil, it seems obvious – the matching color fills in your brows, defines the brow shape and complements the whole makeup. Eyeshadow replacing the blusher must have similar shade to the color of your natural blush. Apply it like a traditional blusher. You can also successfully use an eyeshadow instead of a bronzer or highlighter – just choose the right shades and apply them the right way.

3. A brow pencil as an eyeliner

They can both work for enhancing the eyebrows and applying an eyeliner. It is fully safe. The products should be dermatologist tested and thus shouldn’t cause any allergic reactions. Use a brow pencil to effortlessly get a beautiful winged line which looks natural and delicate.

4. Other ways to use a blusher and bronzer

Did you know you can use a blusher and bronzer as a lipstick or eyeshadow? Choose loose or fluid products to do it. For application, use your fingers, a sponge or a brush. Just remember that some cosmetics may make your lips dry and chapped.

5. Foundation & moisturiser as a BB cream

It is a well-known and tried and tested trick many women use in order to both get a flawless makeup effect and condition the skin. The combination of foundation and moisturiser makes the application easier, giving your skin a lighter tone, a moisture boost, smoothness and nourishment. Simply put, it gives you the benefits of a BB cream. Just remember to choose the right foundation shade, match the foundation and the moisturiser to the skin type, as well as to apply them properly.
