Skin care can be tiring, boring, tedious. We treat it as a chore, while Asian women enjoy it. Discover the Asian beauty routine in ten steps!

Women dream of having a beautiful and flawless complexion. In practice, it is often far from ideal, it gets too dry or greasy, it can be irritated or covered with not very aesthetic skin changes. Difficulties in finding the right way of care do not fill us with optimism. We take care of our skin out of coercion, often not completely consciously, and thus without surprising results. However, it doesn’t always have to be like this!

Asian skin care

There are areas of the world where the time seems to stop. Women have flawless, smooth, pale pink velvet skin, and thus, they always look young and fresh. The land of eternal youth is Asia. However, there is no magical recipe behind the Asian beauty phenomenon. It’s the effect of regular skin care. Today, far Eastern ways for beautiful complexion are an inspiration for women around the world. It turns out that the secret lies in the 10-step daily care routine.

Skin care routine in 10 steps

Each of you can make yourself feel a bit younger if you devote a bit more time to your complexion than usual. It is good to start playing with care instead of repeating the same activities every day. What counts is a conscious approach to care and not the use of random cosmetics with a composition that does not match the needs of the skin. In fact, even the smallest issues affect the looks of our complexion.

The Asian skin care routine is what women around the world have fallen in love with. It is based on simple and clear rules, it is logical. Although you must be aware that there might be more steps in daily care than the 20 discussed below. The record is actually up to 27 steps of daily skin care! No worries. Excellent results are already noticeable with the basic ten steps. It’s still a big change, especially since most women are unfortunately limited to only 3: make-up removal, face-washing and applying a face cream.

What is the Asian skin care beauty routine like?

STEP 1. MAKEUP REMOVAL

The most important step in the entire beauty ritual is the makeup removal. There should not be days when we skip this point. For makeup removal, we can use different cosmetics: bi-phase liquids, micellar water, or makeup removal wipes. The fewer cosmetics we use in this step, the better, which is why the perfect solution is a makeup removal glove that removes dirt, cosmetics, and sebum without the use of any cosmetics. Asian women also recommend removing makeup with oils – natural or those found in drugstores. Oils perfectly collect serum and oily cosmetics, that’s why the makeup remover oil effectively cleanses, additionally nourishing, lubricating and softening the skin.

STEP 2. CLEANSING

The Asian skin care routine divides facial cleansing into two stages. After removing makeup, it’s time for a water-based cosmetic that cleanses the entire face. It should be done in circular motions, thanks to which we additionally stimulate blood circulation in the skin. Which cosmetic will be the best? A mild facial cleansing gel or other water-based cleansing preparation. At this stage, we avoid cosmetics with oils and other oiling substances.

STEP 3. EXFOLIATING

Exfoliation is the next step when it comes to cleansing your complexion. Asian women pay a lot of attention to having perfectly cleansed face before taking care of it. Gentle, fine-grained scrubs will help remove dead skin cells and possible debris. Additionally, microcirculation will be stimulated, thanks to which the ingredients of cosmetics will be better absorbed.

STEP 4. TONING

To enumerate all the advantages of toning the skin, we would have to spend long hours and yet, this step is very often skipped in skin care. We tend to ignore toners, and even if we reach for them, we rather go for the one with astringent and mattifying properties. However, a face toner should be treated as the first stage of in-depth skin moisturizing. Maintaining the right level of hydration and restoring face’s proper pH level is the easiest way to get rid of irritations.

STEP 5. NOURISHING ESSENCE

Essences are still not very popular in other parts of the world. Asians, however, love to use them and consider them a key cosmetic in daily care. What is an essence for the face? It is even more condensed than serum, very effective, yet a lightweight cosmetic with a multifunctional application (also suitable for the hair).

STEP 6. SERUM

Most women would have skipped to the cream part a long time ago. The Asian beauty routine assumes that we are only halfway and now, it is the time to use a serum. We can use concentrates of rejuvenating, brightening, illuminating or constricting ingredients (depending on the skin problem) in the form of serum or ampoules.

STEP 7. FACE MASK

The follow-up with nourishing and moisturizing is guaranteed by a face mask. Of course, the best mask comes in the form of a sheet because it fits the Asian rituals of care best. The mask abounds in regenerating, moisturizing and nourishing ingredients – much higher content than in a cream. It should be used regularly, but not more often than twice a week. The minimum time to keep the mask on the face before washing it down is 20 minutes.

STEP 8. UNDER-EYE CREAM

Where do the first signs of aging appear at first? Of course, around the eyes, that’s why one should not forget about the special care of that area of the skin. Regular cream application to the skin under the eyes prevents the formation of dark circles, puffiness and crow’s feet. The eye cream should not be rubbed in, because the very delicate skin under the eyes could be unnecessarily stretched. Also, the best cream is lightweight and strongly condensed.

STEP 9. MOISTURIZING

The last but one step in the skin care routine is what we do most often –  the application of a cream. We think that a good face cream is sufficient and (often unknowingly) we skip all previous steps. Our habits differ from the Asian because the moisturizing cream is only used in the evening at the end of the entire beauty ritual. However, we always reach for it when our skin feels dry. Asian women think that the essence and serum are more important, while cream should be fairly rich and deeply moisturized.

STEP 10. UV PROTECTION

The culmination of the entire skin care routine is applying sun protection. After a thorough cleansing, moisturizing and nourishing the skin, we cannot forget about providing sun protection. It is the sun that is the real culprit for the faster wrinkle and discoloration appearance, loss of firmness and radiance. The UV filter can be smuggled in a delicate emulsion used in the morning before going out, in a makeup base, or even the powder.
