Do you know that the products that you store in the kitchen are perfect for home skin and hair care? They are natural, work quickly and bring surprising results. What products can serve you as cosmetics? Look into the fridge and various kitchen cupboards – there are plenty of them.

Soda

Baking soda is used both in the kitchen and in the bathroom. We add it to our cakes, or use it instead of a toothpaste or mouthwash. Soda removes impurities and bacteria, and also refreshes your breath. It is also used to prepare a face scrub. With a bit of lemon juice and some moisturising oil, it is ideal for this purpose. The mixture should be applied to the skin and then rinsed with lukewarm water.

Cocoa

It tastes great and will be of great use during… make-up. Thanks to its colour, it will effectively replace your bronzer or eyeshadow. If you want to use cocoa this way, remember to choose a product without any additives that could irritate the skin. How to use cocoa as a bronzer? With an angled brush, apply a bit of the product on such parts as the temples, the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose and the tip of the chin.

Green tea

Green tea cleanses the skin and has an antioxidant effect, which make it a popular ingredient in many drugstores. If you want to prepare a facial mask with powdered green tea, add yogurt, avocado, coconut oil or panthenol to it. Mix all ingredients and apply to the skin. After 10 minutes wash with lukewarm water.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal can be used in masks or scrubs. All you need to do is mix oatmeal with a few other ingredients from your kitchen. These can be: honey, jogurt, essential oils, citrus juice. The paste should be applied to the skin or rubbed into it.

Honey

The sweetest and the best product from your kitchen for your skin and hair. Honey contains a set of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It has cleansing, moisturising and protective effects. It can be used as a mask, in a scrub or other hair care cosmetic. Honey can also be used as a lip balm or a product for your feet or hands.
